A listing agent can transfer viewing rights to another reviewer, such as a landlord, before or after an applicant applies with Apply Now.
Once the process is initiated, it cannot be reversed. The renter will be required to resubmit their information from their application to provide the new reviewer access. The renter should use the email with their initial application to avoid repaying the application fee.
Apply Now allows only one reviewer to access the application and reports simultaneously.
To transfer viewing rights to another reviewer, complete the following steps:
- Click the “Applications” tab from the main menu bar.
- Click on the desired listing and select the application you need to change the reviewer for.
- Click the “Change Reviewer” button.
- A popup will appear listing critical details about the change reviewer process and what to expect. To acknowledge the process, check the “Checkbox” and click the “Continue” button.
- Type in the new reviewer’s email address and click the “Initiate Transfer Process” button.
- Once the new reviewer has accepted the role, the applicant will receive an email prompting them to resubmit the application. The applicant must resubmit their application to authorize the reviewer to review the reports.
- Once the applicant has resubmitted their application, the new reviewer can view it and the results.
Once you click “Submit”, you will immediately remove your ability to review the reports. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires only property owners or authorized designees to review credit reports. The change reviewer process cannot be reversed once it is initiated.
